Emerald Cory Catfish (Corydoras splendens)

The Emerald Cory Catfish, also known as the Emerald Brochis Cory, is a peaceful and hardy bottom-dweller admired for its shimmering metallic green coloration. Larger than many other Corydoras species, this active schooling fish makes an excellent addition to community and planted aquariums, adding both movement and color to the lower tank levels.

A classic scavenger, it prefers sand or smooth gravel to protect its delicate barbels. Easy to care for and adaptable, the Emerald Cory readily accepts dry, frozen, and live foods. While generally peaceful, it is best kept with larger shrimp, as very small shrimp may be viewed as food.
