The Yo-Yo Loach (Botia almorhae) is a highly active and fascinating freshwater fish known for its unique black and gold maze-like patterns and playful personality. Also called the Pakistani Loach, this peaceful bottom-dwelling species is loved by aquarists for its energetic swimming behavior, social nature, and ability to help control unwanted pest snails in the aquarium.

Aquarium Setup:
Provide a soft sandy substrate, driftwood, rocks, caves, and plenty of hiding areas. A secure aquarium lid is recommended as Yo-Yo Loaches can occasionally jump.
Care Guidelines
Diet:
Omnivorous; enjoys high-quality sinking pellets, frozen foods such as bloodworms, daphnia, brine shrimp, and occasional vegetables like cucumber, zucchini, and spinach.
Social Behavior:
Peaceful schooling fish. Best kept in groups of 6 or more as they develop complex social behaviors and become more confident in a group.
